Description

A Middle-Earth Themed composition, my very first!

I thought of this after because of a school assignment, I can't work without a theme or story so I went and read a bit on the Children of Hurin (Not the whole book though, didn't have it) Then with a bit of imagination I wrote this non-canonical description of the Statue of Turambar.

=========================================
After the crowning of King Elessar,
The unification of the bloodlines of Half-Elven
And the reunification of the kingdoms of Arnor and Gondor.

King Elessar built the Statue of Turin Turambar on the mountains of Anorien,
Facing the forts of Morgoth, the valley of Udun.
Overlooking the dead ruins of Osgiliath,
Overgrown and sunk in the sea of Trees;
And the dead city of Minas Morgul,
Buried in mountains felled.

For He is destined to strike the death blow upon Morgoth at the End of Times.
When he breaks thru the Door of Night and thunders forth from the Void.
So shall it end, so shall the Dagor Dagorath begin.
=========================================

P.S: Sorry if I am wrong in some parts of Tolkien's Fiction.. Just researched a bit and came up with it.. =) Still a new hand at this matte painting thing.. so the mountains look terrible.. =/

Edit: My computer calibration is terrible so the colors turn out terrible.. re-edited..
Edit2: changed the prose/poem a bit after looking at an internet debate regarding Morgoth's realm, instead changed it to the valley of Udun, where the black gate covers. I imagined Morgoth thundering thru the black gate like he will smash the Door of Night and the Battle of Battles begins...
